| Our Purpose |
|
Our general goals are to instill a positive self-concept in each child, to give the child security in learning, to teach the child to think, to develop self-reliance, to help the child to understand what he or she is learning, and to find joy in learning. The parent, the teacher, and the child share the responsibility of reaching these goals equally. At Carden Christian Academy, the pre-school and elementary age children will have the opportunities to enjoy learning together in small group situations in a happy and unpressured learning atmosphere. Teachers will accept all students where they are academically and encourage growth. It is the responsibility of each teacher to provide encouragement, a wide variety of experiences with different elements in the curriculum, and opportunities to engage in discussions and investigations of ideas. In the junior high grades, our goals are to encourage our students to develop into well-rounded young adults with a desire to become our future’s Godly leaders in academia, business, church, and government. We strive for a like-minded student body that has one spirit and one purpose – to glorify God in all we do, think, and say. To this end, we have a strong spiritual, academic, cultural, and physical development program. In order to prepare students for high school and beyond, our school day is divided into several class periods. Students are responsible to different teachers throughout the day as they change classrooms for various subjects. |
